The person responded, "What difference does it make? It's just another day. I was recently talking to someone about the approaching new year. They might even become Holy Cats! How about us? Will we learn to live with our Holy Father and share with him in his holiness? The kittens will grow and settle down so that we can live together peacefully and love each other completely. Like our little princess, we may want to explore territory where we shouldn't be and then the discipline may come down on us. What are the words we must learn to relate better to the Father? What areas of life are off-limits? Usually the words are simple - faith, prayer, study, love, diligence. In the 12th chapter of Hebrews it says,"God disciplines us for our good that we may share in his holiness." We want to achieve our dreams, now! Life isn't always delivered the way we want. We want to have friendship and intimacy with the Lord but so often we want to do it on our own terms. These two little friends remind me of all of us who want to live in the environment of our Lord. If I have the door to the dishwasher down, she darts under it where I can't reach her. Before I can aim and shoot, she shuts her eyes and ducks her head to avoid the deadly water. I tell her "OUT!" and she just looks sweet.
She sneaks into the kitchen and sits there with an innocent expression in her big eyes. Tigger learns pretty well with that but not the sweet little princess. A shot in the eye or on the back has an amazing affect. I have a secret weapon though, a spray water bottle. The kitchen is off limits, but she keeps testing. There are basic words we are trying to teach these two little characters: "NO!", "OFF!", and "OUT!" They know what they mean already, but being cats they have a will of their own, especially Patches. We have to keep them inside as our country environment has too many predators for kittens or cats to survive long outside.Ĭats need to learn certain rules of behavior to survive inside also.
Patches, a dainty calico princess is full of curiosity and mischief, very vocal when she isn't getting all the attention she wants. Tigger is an orange and white tabby and a really sweet boy.
Almost more fun and companionship then we want! According to him, they would be good for Mom and Dad, companionship and fun. Our oldest son recently came up from Texas for a visit and brought two little presents with him - a couple of kittens.
